Behavior Consultants, Inc. has been providing behavior analytic services for individuals with traumatic brain injuries and/or autism and their families for over 32 years. Behavior Consultants continues to be owned and managed by Behavior Analysts. We are looking for a passionate, qualified, and professional Board-Certified Behavior Analyst to join our team!
This position will carry a caseload, providing home and community-based services, in the Ann Arbor area. This will require traveling from your home office to clients.
Position Summary: BCBAs at Behavior Consultants Inc. carry a diverse caseload of individuals with autism, as well as those that have acquired brain injuries. Staff have reported that working with different populations helps strengthen their clinical skills in assessment and programming for a variety of skills across environments, as well as helps to reduce burnout. We have a team of supportive BCBAs, Coordinators, and Directors with various areas of experience and expertise, that offer continued collaboration. At Behavior Consultants Inc. all assessments and treatment packages are individualized to meet the specific needs of our clients. BCBAs are responsible for completing these assessments, developing treatment plans, training staff and caregivers in correct implementation of the plans, and continuous monitoring of progress to ensure maximum results are achieved. Areas of treatment may include communication, daily living skills, social skills, vocational skills, as well as behavioral skills. Essential Job Duties:
Manage individual client cases Conduct various curriculum assessments for analysis of client skill repertoire and needs Conduct Functional Assessment/Analysis of target behaviors Develop individualized data collection systems and behavioral programs for clients Train consumers, staff, and other care team members on use of data collection tools and implementation of behavior programming Train consumers on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis Provide clinical ABA supervision and program management for Behavior Technicians Work with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate treatment Attend clinical supervision meetings, 1:1 meetings, all staff meetings, and all other related meetings. Requirements
A master’s degree in psychology, ABA or related field is required. Candidate must be a BCBA. Candidate must be able to demonstrate exceptional clinical skills with both children and adults within multiple settings and populations. Be able to manage staff, work with families, work with schools, provide parent training and/or teach groups of parents/families, work with employers and members of the community, and supervise programs. Ability to collect and analyze data for purposes of program evaluation and program management. Familiarity with various assessment tools (ABLS-R, VB-MAPP, AFLS, Vineland, etc.). Able to write treatment goals and develop effective programs for clients based on the principles of ABA. Able to implement interventions in natural settings and environments such as in the home, in classroom, residential facility and/or in the community. Able to efficiently manage time to complete work tasks and communicate with team members. Have familiarity with Microsoft products.
